Brian Kolfage - Strength from Service
Brian Kolfage lost both legs
and a hand in Kuait, but pushed through his recovery given the strength
and discipline he learned in the Armed Services. Having enlisted in the
Air Force to help him gain direction, his career track was forever
changed with the multiple amputations required after his friends pulled
him out of an attack on Balad. Doctors told him he was the most
seriously injured ariman ever to survive, but that he would probably
never walk again. After 6 years of recovery, going back to school and
training to be an architect, he did just that as he walked down the
aisle in 2011. Read
